Hoping he wouldn’t mind the intrusion, she unlocked one french door and stepped out into the crisp night air.

Breeze off the river caressed her face and rustled the potted Fiddler Palm that sat beside a lounger. Even in the darkness the river looked majestic, but it was warm light spilling from the polygonal turret at the end of the verandah that inexplicably called to her.

She wanted to learn more about Gideon the man, and seeing this most personal domain drew her like a moth to a flame.

Stepping forward towards the lights, she had to pass another open French door where she pulled up short…

Gideon stood beyond a massive four-post bed, back to her, gloriously naked under the spray of his open shower.

She watched transfixed as roped muscles shifted to wash the soap from his hair - bubbles sliding over his broad shoulders, his tight ass, and down long legs to big feet braced apart on the tiled floor.

Everything south of her navel clenched. Hard.

Her lungs failed, and feet weren’t taking direction from her brain either, remaining riveted despite the basic courtesy to walk away and give him privacy.

Wet hair slicked back, Gideon planted his large hands high up against the shower wall and tipped his head forward to enjoy water sluicing over his nape and down the hard plains of his body.

“Do you like what you see Sara?”

Christ! He knew she was out here?!!

“I should go.”

He turned, snagging her with a coal dark gaze, giving her a full frontal as water continued to fall over his sexily haired chest and lower still.

“Stay. I like you being here.”

Evidence of how much was becoming more obvious by the second. “But if you continue to look at me there, I can’t help how I react to you.”

Her lips felt parched. It wasn’t like she’d never seen a naked man, but something about Gideon, something purely elemental affected her like never before.

As if her fantasies weren’t wicked enough. The man in reality was really too much!

He continued to stand on full display, letting her look her fill.

“Better you see me now. Because when we get naked together, I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle you just looking.”

The ache of her body kept her inexplicably rooted to the spot

“Want to join me?”

“No!” His outrageous request was enough to unglue her feet and she high-tailed it back down the stairs where finally she could breathe again.
